Recreational and examination classes – 12 Years +
Our Rising Stars dance program are for teenagers 12+ years and adults. BPA Dance Studio in Logan offers many levels to accommodate for all abilities, with classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Our classes are designed to push and support individual growth with skills that will build confident and resilient dancers.
DANCE STYLES FOR TEENAGERS & ADULTS
BPA offers the COMDANCE Classical Ballet Syllabus which is graded to suit all ages and skill levels. Classical ballet provides disciplined and develops skills that allows students to thrive in all aspects of dance. Examinations are encouraged and students undertaking exams must attend a minimum of two classes per week.
Senior Jazz grades are encouraged to do 2 classes per week, 1 of examination jazz and 1 of technical/choreography. These high energy classes include turns, kicks and jumps along with developing different jazz styles with innovative choreography. Jazz develops excellent coordination and improves body awareness and flexibility. Students who learn the CSTD work and are encouraged to sit examinations/mock exams each year. Students also have the opportunity to follow a teaching path and gain teaching qualifications.
Learn to express yourself through the movements of contemporary. With the Jason Winters Syllabus learn techniques from Australia’s leading contemporary syllabus, including opportunities to learn contemporary skills, choreographic skills and teaching skills.
The Comdance syllabus is structured to develop skills carefully through carefully designed grades to help students get the most out of every class. Students are encouraged to sit their Comdance exams if they are ready. Students also have the opportunity to follow a teaching path and gain teaching qualifications.
This high energy, fun and funky class has a bit of everything. Learn to pop, lock and wave with urban and new school styles.
This graceful style explores the emotional expression of dance, with beautiful flowing movements and classical technique.

DANCE EXAM
BPA is a proud COMDANCE studio offering examination classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Students from 5 yearsof age are eligible to participate in exams (if requirements are met) allowing them to set personal goals and build confidencein themselves.
BPA has produced extraordinary exam results with student (Mekelle Ferguson) receiving the HIGHEST MARK IN QUEENSLAND for her Contemporary 4 exam in 2020. Mekelle received the highest mark for Contemporary 4 out of hundreds of students. This is an outstanding result and we are so incredibly proud of her achievements. Mekelle was presented at the COMDANCE convention in October 2021.
